Every year in April, all 32 NFL teams gather in some major city and conduct a draft of the graduating college players. 224 players will be picked over 7 rounds, and then just as many players will be signed as free agents. Each franchise employs numerous scouts, coaches, and draft experts to determine which players will be successful in the pros.
